This Diwali Gift Box has been curated keeping in mind Diwali celebrations that revolve around the lighting of diyas as well as keeping in mind that lakhs of diyas are disposed of in garbage after Diwali. With this box, we have chosen products that can be reused multiple times and also be used as showpieces after Diwali is over.
Blue Pottery is widely recognized as a traditional craft of Jaipur. The craft of pottery was introduced by the Mughal courts of Persia and Afghanistan back in the day. Today, blue pottery provides employment and livelihood to thousands of artisans in and around Jaipur. The making of blue pottery products is a handmade process and passes through many stages to get the finished product.
Regular diyas are filled with paraffin wax which emits toxic fumes (containing poisonous chemicals such as benzene, toluene, naphthalene, etc.) and black soot on burning. These fumes are bad for both the environment and us. Millions of such diyas are burnt during Diwali which along with the burning of crackers leads to a major pollution problem in most cities. Our Diwali Hamper comes with soy wax candles that are better for you and our planet. The diyas can also be used with oil and cotton wicks.
The diyas come in a recyclable kraft paper box.
