Kokum Butter

Kokum butter is an oil derived from the seeds of a fruit-bearing tree called the Kokum tree. Kokum butter usually has a light gray or pale yellow tint and predominantly comprises a type of saturated fat known as stearic acid. The chemical structure of the fat allows kokum butter to remain solid at room temperature. Kokum butter is probably best known for its role as a potent emollient or moisturizing agent. Some claim that kokum butter is an effective tool for treating and preventing visible signs of aging skin.

Almond Oil

Almond oil has been used in Indian Ayurveda for centuries to soothe and soften skin.  Almond oil is rich in nutrients like Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Omega-3 fatty acids and zinc.  Due to its anti-inflammatory and emollient properties, as well as its high nutrient content, it’s is a popular skin care ingredient.

Beeswax

Beeswax is a natural wax that is produced by honey bees. Beeswax contains natural emulsifiers that help retain moisture, making it a great ingredient for dry, chapped lips. Much like how sunblock protects your skin, beeswax can protect your lips from harmful UV rays. Beeswax is also rich in vitamin A and is an emollient, helping to soothe and hydrate the lips.
